Zomoz - From Local Favorite to Global Craving 

From momo passion project to national ambitions! Founded in 2015, Zomoz, now acquired by Rebel Foods, needs a rebrand to reflect their growth. We delivered a comprehensive strategy including brand identity, design, communication, and QSR design to solidify Zomoz’s future as a major fast-food player. 

Challenge

Founded in 2015 on a love for delicious momos, Zomoz quickly became a local favorite in Hyderabad. After being acquired by the food tech giant Rebel Foods, Zomoz needed a brand refresh to reflect its ambitious global expansion plans. The challenge was to create a new identity that retained the essence of Zomoz’s delicious momos while also conveying its aspirations to become a global brand.

Creative Solutions 

To bridge the gap between Zomoz’s local roots and its global ambitions, we conducted a collaborative strategy session. This resulted in a new brand essence that captured the core value of Zomoz: “Better tasting Momos that take the world from the ordinary to the extraordinary – moments, feelings, occasions.” This essence became the foundation for a dynamic new brand design. Circles, representing a sense of community and a complete experience, became the visual language. This imagery aimed to depict the better world Zomoz’s delicious momos would transport customers to.

Results

The new brand identity, encompassing the redefined essence and the circle-based visual language, successfully transitioned Zomoz from a local favorite to a brand with global aspirations. The new design retained the focus on Zomoz’s delicious momos while also conveying a sense of excitement and adventure, perfectly aligning with the brand’s plans for international expansion. This strategic rebranding empowered Zomoz to connect with a wider audience and paved the way for its journey to becoming a global momo phenomenon.
